Workshop Manager

ScopeThe workshop manager reports to the field operations manager and coordinates the activities of the workers in the workshop.Operations, Inventory and Team ManagementAssist the Field Operations Manager to ensure reliable, cost-effective operations and efficient implementation of the strategies of African Parks in line with the Business plan;Oversee daily operations, making sure production cycles are met from part design to fabrication. You will deal with raw material and equipment’s, people resources and administrative processes;Coordinate and supervise the activities of mechanics, welders, drivers, and electricians. s;Provide overall operational support to the park and facilitate coordination, supervision and monitoring of support activities designed to assist in fulfilling set objectives;Oversee facility management in the workshop, including keeping proper track of procurements and maintaining inventory of equipment;Support the project teams on timely provision of operations support of a high-level standards;Support the Field Operations Manager in ensuring sufficient planning and forecasting for the Workshop;Support the Field Operations Manager in developing the capacity of the Workshop team, deepen understanding of their roles and assist with career development;Assist team members with information, tools and resources to improve performance & reach objectives;Promote accountability, communicate expectations, and provide constructive feedback informally and formally via regular one-on-ones and performance reviews;Perform any other cognate duties as may be assigned by the line manager.Assist the Field Operations Manager to ensure reliable, cost-effective operations and efficient implementation of the strategies of African Parks in line with the Business plan;Oversee daily operations, making sure production cycles are met from part design to fabrication.
