BackgroundSomaliland Youth Development and Voluntary Organization (SOYDAVO) is a local non-governmental organization committed to empowering youth, promoting social development, protection, accountability, and community resilience across Somaliland. As part of its commitment to youth development and capacity building, SOYDAVO offers internship opportunities for young graduates to gain practical work experience in a professional NGO environment.2. Objectives of the InternshipThe internship programme aims to:Provide young people with practical skills and hands-on experience in NGO operationsStrengthen interns’ understanding of community development, protection, and humanitarian workSupport SOYDAVO’s programmes at field and office levelsBuild a pool of skilled youth with experience in development and humanitarian programming3. Roles and ResponsibilitiesUnder the supervision of the respective Office Coordinator or Programme Officer, interns will support the following activities:Programme SupportAssist in the implementation of ongoing projects and activitiesSupport community mobilization, outreach, and awareness activitiesAssist in data collection, registration, documentation, and basic reportingSupport monitoring and follow-up of project activitiesLearning & Professional DevelopmentParticipate in internal meetings, trainings, and learning sessionsAdhere to SOYDAVO policies, including safeguarding, code of conduct, and confidentialityCarry out any other duties assigned by the supervisor relevant to learning objectives
